Green Smoothie Recipes – I recommend if you are new to green smoothies to start with spinach instead of the other stronger tasting greens.  As you progress and aquire a taste for greens feel free to go wild.  The Sky is the limit!

Keep it Simple Green Smoothie

1 cup of  kale

1 large banana

1 cup of water or your favorite milk

Blend and enjoy.  Blend for two minutes.

 

My Favorite Green Smoothie

1 cup chopped kale (any kale is fantastic)

1 cup of water (more depending on the consistency desired)

1 banana

1 grapefruit (scoop out the fruit)

1 teaspoon agave nectar (optional)

Place all ingredients in the blender.  Blend for a few minutes until smooth.  Serve immediately or store in refrigerator.

 

Banamango Green Smoothie

1 cup favorite green (swiss chard, kale, dandelion greens, romaine)

1 banana

1 mango

1 cups of water

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

 

Yummy Peaches Green Smoothie

3 peaches

1 cup spinach

1 cup water

Place ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

 

Strawberry Green Smoothie

1 cup strawberries

1 banana

½ bunch of romaine

1 cup of water

Place ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

 

10 Day Liver Cleanse

 

Many years ago I met an amazing acupuncturist.  After my session with her she encouraged me to do a liver cleanse during spring and fall.  She said during the changes of seasons we could help our body by doing a cleanse.  Cleansing is like a reset button.  Our liver has the amazing job to clean our blood.  It filters our blood and removes toxins.  With stress, pollution, and our diet our liver can become backed up.  We can help it along by doing a cleanse.  I have been doing this cleanse for over 15 years now and I highly recommend!

  • 1 tsp milk thistle powder
  • 1 table spoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 6-8 ounces of warm to hot water

Mix the ingredients and drink first thing in the morning for ten days.
